Although Josep was not part of the ITWG, we all work on similar problems to use our observations to help the world have better weather and climate projections. We know that the IROWG members and chairs, and local organisers will be in shock and disbelief to lose someone who was clearly held in such high regard by the community, but that it happened during the meeting makes it somehow so much more personal to everyone.
