Dear IROWG/ROMEX community, You are cordially invited to attend the second IROWG ROMEX (ROMEX-2) Workshop, taking place from February 25–27, 2025, at EUMETSAT Headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany. Initial results of ROMEX activities were discussed at the First IROWG ROMEX workshop in February 2024 https://irowg.org/romex-1/ and during the IROWG-10 meeting in September 2024 https://irowg.org/irowg-10/ . The Second ROMEX workshop aims to finalize and consolidate the findings from various NWP centers and research entities, align the presentation of these results, and prepare recommendations for CGMS agencies. The workshop will focus on presentations and discussions in the following areas: - Reports on ROMEX related NWP impact studies and applications - Best ways to present ROMEX results to stakeholders and decision-makers - Status and plans of relevant RO missions - Other relevant developments and research pertaining to ROMEX The first two days of the meeting will feature presentations and discussions, while the final day will include a plenary session dedicated to consolidating ROMEX findings and finalizing the report and recommendations for CGMS. In-person participation is strongly encouraged, though remote access will be available.
